Rural development and related development policies are presented under a three-folded perspective. First, rural development as a priority in developing countries. Second, rural development policies in the EU as a balance with urban competitiveness. Third, local and self-development as a social and political long-term process. Each focus is including a (in French) professional lecture. Examen en Français.
